Rove
A native macOS workspace where Claude Code, Codex and Hermes Agent run side by side, with its own MCP server so Claude Code and Codex can talk to each other.

Rove puts shells, AI coding agents, an editor and git in one window, with tabs and split panes.
What’s in it
- Agent panes for Claude Code, Codex, a read-only Codex and Hermes Agent.
- Its own MCP server and bridge with 9 tools, which Claude Code and Codex use to communicate. Hermes Agent can’t add an MCP server for a single launch, so it runs without that channel.
- Autonomous runs with Orchestrator, Worker and Reviewer roles, and 2 to 4 Workers in separate git worktrees.
- Terminal processes start through a small C layer, and git reads run under macOS
sandbox-exec.
Status
Release candidate 0.1.0. It is ad hoc signed and not notarized, so other Macs block it for now. I built it with AI coding agents working from milestone specs, M1 to M11.
Media
(open in image viewer)A mock run, which tests the run flow without calling real agents.
